Yasmin Saint
I love the unique approach to health seen in occupational therapy practice. The most rewarding part of being an occupational therapist is being able to support the children to achieve improved independence and confidence while engaging in their meaningful, everyday activities.
Some Fun Facts About Yasmin
Where were you born / Where did you grow up? I was born in Brisbane and raised in the Redlands.
What did you love to do as a kid? I used to love doing lots: horse riding; trampolining and tumbling; dreaming and imagining; reading fantasy books; singing.
What did you want to be when you were growing up? An actress, then a race car driver, then a solicitor, then a health worker.
What is your favourite food? Eggs benedict breaky or hummus and warm pita bread.
Where is your favourite holiday destination? Nepal
Where in the world would you like to go where you haven’t been before? Japan, Europe, America, Egypt.
Tell us an interesting fact about you? I was a national bench-press title holder at 16 and 17 years old. I also played volleyball for Queensland teams in my high school years.
What is your life motto? Be kind, be brave and self-love.
Yasmin’s studies began at Griffith University in 2015. During her time at University, Yasmin worked part-time as both a barista and property manager to save the money she needed to meet her goals. Alongside her dream of becoming an occupational therapist, Yasmin also sought to travel abroad to see as much of the world as she could before entering fulltime work.
Over the years, Yasmin has managed to explore Indonesia, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, New Zealand, China and many parts of Australia.
Yasmin has thoroughly enjoyed her initial years as an occupational therapist and continues to build on her knowledge and skills. Yasmin has recently discovered a keen interest in providing therapeutic supports based around mental health and social-emotional skills challenges.
Yasmin is a member of OT Australia and works from our Cleveland clinic.
