Where were you born / Where did you grow up? I was born in Biloela in Queensland but grew up right here in Cleveland.
What did you love to do as a kid? Play sport all day every day.
What did you want to be when you were growing up? Apparently I used to tell everyone I wanted to be a fire engine.
What is your favourite food? Japanese food.
Where is your favourite holiday destination? Either relaxing on Straddie or snowboarding in Japan.
Where in the world would you like to go where you haven’t been before? I’d love to go on an African safari.
Tell us an interesting fact about you. I was fortunate to play Rugby 7s for Australia.
What is your life motto? Life is not about how fast you run, or how high you climb, but how well you bounce.
Andrew primarily sees clients with musculoskeletal and sporting injuries and treats people of all ages and abilities. He came to Optimum Movement having previously worked at the Queensland Sports Medicine Centre. Having played rugby union at a high level, Andrew brings a unique perspective on the treatment of sporting injuries and has also previously worked as a physiotherapist with the Queensland Reds and Queensland Country NRC side. Andrew has a particular interest in adolescent sporting injuries and was the Brisbane Lions AFL Academy physiotherapist for 6 years.
Andrew is a qualified Clinical Pilates instructor and does small group sessions. He has also completed APA Sports Level 1 & 2 courses and attended the Adolescents in Sport Symposium.
Andrew is a member of the APA and works from our Cleveland clinic.
