Some Fun Facts About Phoebe

Where were you born / Where did you grow up?  I was born in and grew up in Darwin.  I moved to the Sunshine Coast with my family when I was 18. 

 

What did you love to do as a kid?  We often went camping as kids in the bush or near the beach.

 

What did you want to be when you were growing up?  I could never make up my mind – teacher, vet, marine biologist.

 

What is your favourite food?  It depends on the day – cheese, chips or chocolate.

 

Where is your favourite holiday destination?  It is hard to pick just one as I have been very lucky and have travelled to some fun places in my lifetime.  But the destinations I reflect on the most is the national parks we have visited both in Australia and overseas.  So much so, my husband and I decided to get married on top of a mountain.

 

Where in the world would you like to go where you haven’t been before?  On my bucket list at the moment are Tasmania and Iceland.

 

What is your life motto?  Embrace the journey, celebrate the moments.

With a heart for children and a commitment to achieving their goals.  Phoebe brings a wealth of experience to the Optimum Movement team.  Phoebe aims to create a supportive and engaging environment in her therapy sessions where children are motivated to work towards their goals whilst building confidence, learning new skills, and most importantly, having fun.

Phoebe has a passion for working with children with developmental and physical disabilities, along with a keen interest in early intervention.  She has experience in equipment prescription and assistive technology and is also trained in the Hand Assessment for Infants (HAI) and the Assisting Hand Assessment (AHA) for children and young people with cerebral palsy.

Phoebe is a big believer in the power of collaboration.  By working closely with parents, caregivers and other healthcare professionals, we can create a holistic support system to enhance a child’s overall development.

Phoebe is a member of OT Australia and is based in our Minyama clinic on the Sunshine Coast.
